About Us

Technology for Living (TFL) works with people who have severe physical disabilities and helps them to live as well and as independently as possible.

TFL provides people who experience physical barriers with peer support, innovative technologies, respiratory therapy services and equipment that address unmet needs and increase independence, inclusion and wellbeing.

Our History

Technology for Living grew out of the Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP) and the Technology for Independent Living (TIL) Program. Technology for Living (TFL) was formed as a non-profit organization on April 1, 2006.

Our Team

At the hub of our work are the talented and committed Respiratory Therapists (RTs), Biomedical Engineers, other staff, and Peer Workers. Technology for Living is also partnered with highly respected, external Health Professionals who assist in meeting our members’ needs.

Our Board

Our volunteer board has been the strategic heart of our organization, ensuring that in our work within the disability community, we deliver real results, respond to changes in our community, and always deliver the highest ethical standards to be worthy of our public support.
We thank our Board of Directors for generously volunteering their time and energy to lead the organization.
