BCITS is committed to enabling people with severe disabilities, who need assistive technologies, respiratory services and supports, to meet their needs while living in the community. It is guided by the people that it serves around the province of British Columbia and informed by the best knowledge and information possible from professionals and community organizations. The program provides a comprehensive range of equipment and supplies, respiratory therapy, biomedical engineering and peer support within a community-based environment that is responsive and respectful of their individual needs and goals.
TIL is a program of the BC Association for Individualized Technology and Supports for People with Disabilities (BCITS). BCITS acknowledges the financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia. TIL is funded by the Ministry of Health and Direct Access to Gaming. PROP is a program of the BC Association for Individualized Technology and Supports for People with Disabilities (BCITS). Funding for projects such as the “Open Doors project and the Willow project” has been provided in part by the BC Rehab Foundation. To The Kinsmen Foundation, the originator of the TIL program, helps BCITS in many ways including part funding for the “Open Doors Project”. BC Association for Individualized Technology and Supports for People with Disabilities (BCITS) respects and upholds an individual’s right to privacy and the protection of their personal information.
